We install boxes and connect them with pieces of string! This box could be a router, a switch, a fire wall, and made by any number of different providers: Cisco, DrayTek, Juniper, HP to name but a few. The pieces of string are cables of various type - copper or fibre.

         I established the company in 2012 to facilitate some contract work I had with Ericsson. I quickly learned that common sense was uncommon in the telecoms industry.

         During my time at Ericsson, I was made a promise by the director of one of our partner firms, and that relationship has been the foundation on which our journey began.

        Initially, our vision was to provide a regular income for myself, but over the years the potential of the business has become much more. We have gone from a company providing myself with an income, to a company that could potentially provide stable income for a large number of people.

        This has all grown out of the promise made to me, and the reciprocal promise made by myself in response to the faith placed in me by that partner firm.

 

    I quickly learned that the uncommon sense I applied in my communication with the end user and remote engineers, and in the equipment I installed, set me apart from the normal field engineer. This became even more evident when I was asked to pilot a number of major role outs for the suppliers I contracted for.

 

        Although I am process driven when installing equipment, I believe part of my role is to bridge the gap between the non-tech end user and the very technical remote engineers. Due to constantly delivering installs in a professional and timely manner, I have gained the trust and friendship of a number of Technical remote engineers and their clients. This has been proved evident when clients have specifically asked for SiHam Ltd to be contracted for a specific role.

        Early 2018 I started to work closely with Gareth Davies, and from that point on a number of larger opportunities have opened up for SiHam Ltd. Our growth has been steady, and we look forward to many more great years in the coming future. We reap the rewards of our hard work by providing telecoms site engineering work, in a consistent considerate and professional manner, and providing information up and down the supply chain quickly, efficiently and accurately. Our friendly approach to communication helps build trust in our service of building bridges between Tech Geeks and end users.
